The gift that gives more

What could happen if we flipped the commercial model, and instead of generating profits for shareholders and building private wealth, we generated funds to feed our local community?

We’re keen as mustard to find out.

We’re a social enterprise directing 100% of our profits to local food relief programs. We exist for the purpose of serving the most vulnerable members of our community.

It’s hard to believe that despite living in one of the wealthiest countries in the world, 3.3 million Australians live below the poverty line.  This includes 1.2 million children who regularly go without fresh fruit and vegetables.  1 in every 10 people in WA don’t know where their next meal is coming from.

The world doesn’t need more food relief programs. Existing food relief programs need more support.  That’s why we direct our profits to existing programs.

Rather than reinventing the wheel and setting up new food relief programs ourselves, we support programs that are up and running, and already serving our community.

We’re convinced that there really is more than enough to go around.

Our community program partners

We’re starting local. All profits from the purchase of Plenty’s meal gifts flow through to two incredible grassroots organisations, operating right here in WA.

Nestled in the heart of Victoria Park’s bustling café strip, HavenWell offer hot meals to those experiencing homelessness, the socially isolated or those who just need a helping hand.  HavenWell is a caring and safe place for people to visit for a warm meal and a chat with one of the friendly team of volunteers.  Along with their meal service and food hampers, HavenWell also offer laundry services, street health care services, hairdressing services and onsite shower facilities.  You can find out more about HavenWell and volunteering opportunities with them here.

Don’t need to send a Plenty meal gift to someone right now, but love what HavenWell do and want to show them some support?

Located in beautiful Broome, Western Australia, Feed the Little Children Inc. have been delivering meals to children living below the poverty line for almost ten years.  They’ve delivered more than 32,000 meals to Broome kids and run cooking classes to educate children about healthy eating and nutrition.  FTLC are making a measurable impact in the community.  They’ve seen a significant reduction in hospitalisations for ear infection due to improved nutrition, as well as an almost 50% reduction in young people charged with property crimes on the nights that FTLC operate their meal delivery service.  You can learn more about Feed the Little Children Inc. by visiting their website and following them on Instagram at @feedthelittlechildren.
